Last Monday, I booked a table for today, Saturday at this restaurant with a voucher from a deal platform (one I actually work for). Was on the phone with a guy, he confirmed the reservation, saying they still have a lot of space.
Today, Saturday, we arrived and they said they didn't have our reservation and we wouldn't be able to eat there with a voucher (although, according to the voucher, it is valid on Saturdays, too). The restaurant was completely empty inside, so it didn't make any sense. The employees we talked to kept saying "our manager doesn't want it". One female employee even told me I lied because if I called on Monday, she would have been on the phone. I was speechless at this point.
All in all, very very bad customer service. We live close by and will keep going to the other good Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood. The service at 51 was the worst and most ridiculous I've had in my life. If they don't change their attitude, they will go out of business sooner than later. And of course, they should refrain from participating in promotional campaigns if they don't honor the incremental business. -

Ok. Where to begin? My wife and I arrived at 51 with a Travelzoo voucher and reservation, only to be refused service. The staff (including manager's) reason: that we actually *didn't* have a reservation (which was 100% confirmed the previous Monday), and that they actually *don't* take Travelzoo reservations on the weekend (which is false based on the fine print: Saturday 12pm - Midnight).
Rather than grant us a table at their fairly empty establishment, they urged us to leave asap.
Basically, friends, this place doesn't seem to care about their customers, and you should consider before squatting down to grub. There are many other fine Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood, and, well, restaurants in general.
P.S. I've never given a 1-star review, just to convey how bad this experience was.
